Description
ArtsRISE is an Ohio Arts Council program for organizations expanding access to the arts across Ohio. It supports activities representative of historically underrepresented communities, including culturally specific or ethnic arts programming, and efforts to make programs more welcoming and accessible in partnership with the people they serve.
Projects should offer artistic, educational, or cultural value and draw on the perspectives of the populations involved. Examples include creative writing with justice-impacted citizens, concerts featuring composers from culturally specific communities, and art classes developed with people with disabilities. The program seeks work that has a deep, lasting effect on an organization’s practices beyond the grant period.
