Description
ArtSTART is an Ohio Arts Council program offering flexible, one-year project support to organizations presenting arts programming. It particularly supports new or emerging organizations, first-time council applicants, and organizations working in areas not served by other arts providers. Funding can support one activity, a related series, or expenses connected to broader operations.
Projects may include performances, exhibitions, concerts, theatre productions, literary journals, or a year of arts programming by a non-arts organization. Allowable costs include artistic expenses, marketing, planning, education, administration, and evaluation. The program values artistic, educational, or cultural quality; community benefit; engagement with historically underrepresented populations; inclusive planning; and clear goals.
