Description
The ASA/AAAS Mass Media Fellowship is a competitive, 10-week summer program designed to place advanced undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral trainees in science, engineering, or mathematics at major media organizations across the United States. Sponsored by the American Statistical Association (ASA) in partnership with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the fellowship aims to improve public understanding of science and technology by enhancing the quality and reach of science coverage in the media. Fellows gain hands-on experience communicating complex scientific concepts to general audiences, while bringing a statistical perspective to science journalism.
