Key Information: Applicants must be paid-up ASAB members or have applied for membership by the closing date.
ASAB Accessibility Grants help members attend Association for the Study of Animal Behaviour conferences and workshops when individual needs, such as disability or medical needs, create additional attendance costs. The scheme provides a flexible contribution towards expenses for the applicant and/or their assistants, reflecting ASAB’s aim that accessibility-related financial barriers should not prevent participation in its meetings.
Funding addresses the extra cost of attendance arising specifically from individual needs, rather than ordinary distance-related travel or visa expenses or a general lack of personal or institutional funding. Applicants may combine an Accessibility Grant with ASAB Conference Attendance and Childcare Grants for the same event, provided they meet each scheme’s eligibility requirements.
