The Association for the Study of Animal Behaviour (ASAB) supports two-day meetings focused on a specific theme at the interface between animal behaviour and other disciplines or research areas. Relevant connections include physics, engineering, genetics, psychology, and anthropology, as well as welfare, experimental design, statistical analysis, conservation, and environmental impacts. Workshops bring researchers together to exchange ideas, methods, and results through invited plenary lectures, selected contributions, and opportunities for structured discussions or round-table sessions.
ASAB’s Grants Committee selects proposals competitively, prioritising scientific excellence, timeliness, interdisciplinarity, and equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (EDIA). Workshops are expected to include diverse speakers and attendees and to consider accessibility when choosing the venue and timing.
