Key Information: Proposals must originate from an ASABE member or a group within the Society.
The ASABE Foundation’s Initiative Fund provides seed support for new activities, programs, services, and pilot projects that help the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers serve its members and the profession. Projects may be one-time investments or pilots that become ongoing Society activities if they prove valuable. The fund also gives members a way to bring ideas and potential programs before the Board of Trustees.
Proposals must align with Society objectives and connect significantly with the Board’s goals and strategies. An annually formed Evaluation committee, chaired by the Society treasurer, assesses suitability and merit and recommends funding to the Board. Initiatives are funded from ASABE’s restricted reserve, with annual availability based on the Society’s financial health.
