Administered by the ASABE Foundation, the KEYS Fund supports ASABE activities that develop future agricultural and biological engineering talent, benefit underserved communities, and strengthen students’ connections with the Society. Funding can supplement existing ASABE programs or help initiate new ones, provided the project addresses one or more KEYS goals.
Supported work includes K–12 programs introducing students to engineering, technology, or ASABE; humanitarian projects showcasing ASABE professionals’ skills; and competitions or activities helping pre-college and university students understand careers in agricultural, food, and biological systems. Student chapter activities may strengthen chapter vigor, support academic success, and improve relations with ASABE. Youth career development support may cover travel, meeting participation, and other budgeted project expenses.
