Description
ASBMB Fellows is an honorary distinction bestowed by the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. It recognizes members with exceptional, sustained service to the society and a distinguished record of professional accomplishment advancing the molecular life sciences. The program honors contributions rather than funding research projects.
The society welcomes nominees from all backgrounds across academia, government and industry, with work ranging from basic and translational research to application, commercialization and product development. Recognized contributions also include education, advocacy, outreach, mentorship, leadership, public service, and efforts to increase belonging and opportunity in science. Selection considers both meaningful service to ASBMB and significant professional contributions beyond the society, emphasizing impact rather than the quantity, duration or classification of activities.
