Description
The ASBMB Leadership Award recognizes individuals who combine a strong commitment to advancing the careers of women in biochemistry and molecular biology with demonstrated excellence in research and/or service. Administered by the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, it honors individual achievement and leadership rather than funding a specified research project.
The program includes the Emerging Leadership Award and the Sustained Leadership Award, which are given in alternate years and recognize different career stages. The society’s Women in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Committee selects the recipient. Award recipients present a lecture at the ASBMB annual meeting, sharing their recognized work and leadership with the scientific community.
