The ASBMB Leadership Award honors individuals who have demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing the careers of women in biochemistry and molecular biology, along with excellence in research and/or service. The award alternates annually between the Emerging Leadership Award (for early-career faculty) and the Sustained Leadership Award (for senior faculty or scientists). Recipients are selected by the ASBMB Women in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Committee and are invited to present a lecture at the ASBMB annual meeting.
