Description
This award honors individuals who have made outstanding contributions to advancing the careers of women in biochemistry and molecular biology, with demonstrated excellence in research and/or service. The award alternates each year between two categories:
- Emerging Leadership Award: For associate or assistant professors (or equivalent) with no more than 15 years since earning a Ph.D. or M.D.
- Sustained Leadership Award: For full professors or senior scientists with more than 15 years since earning a Ph.D. or M.D.
Recipients receive a monetary prize and are invited to present a lecture at the ASBMB annual meeting. The award is administered by the ASBMB Women in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Committee.
