This award honors individuals who have demonstrated exemplary commitment to the teaching of biochemistry and molecular biology at the undergraduate, graduate, or professional level. The award recognizes outstanding dedication to student learning, mentorship, pedagogical engagement, and innovation in teaching. Nominees should show a strong commitment to mentoring and advancing the careers of students from all backgrounds, and excellence may be demonstrated through teaching, educational leadership, pedagogical publications, scholarship of teaching and learning (SOTL), or educational research. The recipient is selected by the ASBMB Education and Professional Development Committee and is expected to present a lecture at the ASBMB annual meeting.
