The ASCO Clinical Oncology & Research Experience (ASCO CORE) introduces U.S. medical students to oncology through immersive, mentored experiences in both clinical and research settings. The program offers two tracks: a Clinical Oncology Experience (focused on patient care) and a Research Experience (focused on oncology-related research). Participants are paired with mentors for guidance, attend an orientation at the ASCO Annual Meeting, and present their work at a year-end Virtual Showcase. The program is designed to foster early exposure to cancer care, research, and the oncology community, supporting both academic and career development.
