The American School of Classical Studies at Athens (ASCSA) offers this senior fellowship to support an established scholar’s research on Greece from the medieval through modern periods. Research should draw on the Gennadius Library, School Archives, or other related sources. The Library’s special collections, rare books, archives, and research holdings of 150,000 titles provide resources for investigating Greek history across these periods.
The fellowship also aims to enrich the School’s academic program and the intellectual life of the Gennadius Library. Contributions may include mentoring Library fellows, participating in academic programming, presenting occasional seminars related to the fellow’s research, or organizing a colloquium, exhibition, or another activity in the fellow’s area of expertise.
