The ASE Foundation funds Council Travel Grants each spring to support attendance at the ASE Annual Scientific Sessions. The program is administered through the Foundation and ASE Council Steering Committees to encourage trainees in cardiovascular specialties to pursue echocardiography subspecialties, participate in the Councils, and connect with established imaging faculty.
The six participating Councils cover cardiovascular sonography, circulation and vascular ultrasound, critical care echocardiography, interventional echocardiography, pediatric and congenital heart disease, and perioperative echocardiography. Through educational conference participation, the grants aim to deepen recipients’ understanding of cardiovascular imaging, encourage subspecialization, recruit enthusiastic new Council members, and foster meaningful mentoring relationships.
