Summary: Supports sonographer leaders’ travel to the ASE Scientific Sessions to reduce financial barriers and encourage leadership participation.
Key Information: For sonographer members volunteering in leadership positions within ASE and ASEF.
The ASE Foundation’s Cardiovascular Sonographer Leadership Development initiative supports sonographer members who volunteer in leadership positions within the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) and its Foundation (ASEF). Donated funds provide travel stipends and grants for attendance at the ASE Scientific Sessions, helping offset the financial barriers associated with meeting participation.
The initiative responds to declining institutional support for sonographer travel and time devoted to volunteer service. Its goal is to encourage future sonographer leaders to become involved and contribute their voices to ASE’s continued growth and development. This is travel support connected to leadership and volunteer engagement, rather than funding for a separate research project.
