This program provides funding for doctoral students to conduct original dissertation research in Eastern Europe and Eurasia, focusing on any aspect of Slavic, East European, and Eurasian studies across all disciplines. The grant is designed to facilitate in-depth fieldwork and scholarly inquiry in the region, supporting projects that contribute to a broader understanding of these areas. Special grants are also available for research in women’s, gender, and sexuality studies, Russian studies, environmental studies, Ukrainian studies, folklore studies, and history.
