Description
The Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES) offers dissertation research grants supported by donations from its members and other donors. The program funds research in Eastern Europe and Eurasia on any aspect of Slavic, East European, and Eurasian studies, without restricting applicants to a particular discipline.
The grants support students whose dissertation projects have not yet been fully funded. Alongside the general program, named grants support research in women’s, gender, and sexuality studies, Russian studies, environmental studies, Ukrainian studies, folklore studies, and history. Applications are reviewed by an interdisciplinary panel that values arguments clear to both specialist and non-specialist audiences.
