Description
The American Society of Hematology (ASH) Research Training Award for Fellows provides protected research time to help junior investigators pursue careers in academic hematology. It supports research focused on hematologic conditions, including basic research, translational research, patient-oriented clinical research, and outcomes-based research. Solid tumor projects are not eligible.
The one-year award helps researchers in hematology, hematology/oncology, and related training pathways develop expertise and experience for subsequent research awards, including the ASH Scholar Award. The program combines research support with a documented mentoring and career-development plan and institutional commitments to protected time. A limited number of recipients can receive second-year support, and awardees receive support for attending the ASH annual meeting after their award.
