Description
The ASHP-AFPE Pre-Doctoral Fellowship, offered by the American Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education (AFPE), supports research projects focused on improving health outcomes in hospitals, health systems, and ambulatory care clinics. It forms part of AFPE’s pre-doctoral fellowship program, which seeks to improve patient and public health by supporting high-performing students with the potential to become pharmaceutical scientists and leaders in industry, academia, government, and nonprofit organizations.
The fellowship’s 2026–2027 project illustrates its patient-outcomes focus through research on personalized immune-based therapies for acute myeloid leukemia.
