The ASLA-Fulbright Pre-Doctoral Research Fellows Program provides Finnish doctoral students the opportunity to conduct pre-doctoral research at U.S. universities or, in exceptional cases, other organizations for 4 to 12 months. Grantees act as cultural ambassadors, fostering academic and cultural exchange between Finland and the United States while advancing their research and building international networks. The program emphasizes not only research excellence but also professional growth, international collaboration, and the strengthening of bilateral ties. Additional benefits include personal advising, orientation, visa support, and access to the global Fulbright alumni network, with extra support available for grantees with disabilities.
