This program enables experienced Finnish scholars to undertake research or combined research and teaching visits at U.S. universities or research institutions. Grantees act as cultural ambassadors for Finland, the Fulbright Finland Foundation, and their home institutions, strengthening academic collaboration and mutual understanding between Finland and the United States. The grant offers personal advising, orientation, visa support, and access to global professional networks. Visits may last from 3 to 12 months, with up to 6 months of the stay funded by the grant; longer stays require supplementary funding.
