Description
The Fulbright Finland Foundation’s ASLA-Fulbright Research Grants for Senior Scholars support experienced Finnish researchers undertaking projects at U.S. universities or research institutions. Visits can focus on research alone or combine research and teaching, with no limit on teaching hours relative to research. The Foundation and scholars’ Finnish home institutions co-fund the awards.
The program promotes knowledge and professional talent exchange, internationalization of Finnish education and research, and lasting connections between Finnish and U.S. institutions. Alongside their academic work, grantees serve as ambassadors for Finland, their home institutions, and the Foundation, sharing their culture and strengthening Finland–U.S. relations. Personal advising, orientation, enrichment activities, and alumni networks support the academic and cultural exchange.
