Description
The ASM-FEMS Mäkelä-Cassell Travel Award for Early-Career Researchers is run by the American Society for Microbiology in partnership with FEMS. It supports a reciprocal exchange of one member from each organization to present research at the other organization’s main conference, giving early-career microbiologists an opportunity to share their work overseas and experience microbiology in the partner country.
For the 2027 opportunity, ASM will select one current ASM member to attend FEMS MICRO Ljubljana 2027 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, from July 5–8, 2027. The award supports conference travel and research presentation, with complimentary registration and potential support for other meeting-related expenses.
