ASM Student and Postdoctoral Travel Award supports students and postdoctoral researchers with travel assistance to attend ASM Microbe 2027 and present outstanding research across its three interconnected meetings.

Description
The American Society for Microbiology (ASM) sponsors this award to recognize outstanding abstracts from students and postdoctoral researchers advancing research across ASM Microbe’s three interconnected meetings: ASM Health, ASM Applied & Environmental Microbiology and ASM Mechanism Discovery. The award helps recipients attend ASM Microbe 2027 by defraying travel expenses and providing complimentary registration.
The scientific scope includes clinical and public health microbiology, microbial ecology and environmental biotechnology, and fundamental mechanisms underlying microbial life and interactions. The ASM Microbe Program Committee selects two recipients from each meeting. Awardees’ abstracts are automatically accepted for presentation at ASM Microbe 2027 and receive priority consideration for an oral presentation slot.
