    Description

The Heritage Excavation Fellowship program is run by the American Society of Overseas Research (ASOR) and funded directly by its Heritage Members. Fellowships support participants in any ASOR-affiliated archaeological project, including support that enables students and staff to take part in excavation work. Excavation directors may also apply on behalf of their projects.

Through Heritage Partnerships, members work with ASOR and affiliated project leaders to direct their support. Donors may designate a particular individual or project; when funds are undesignated, a selection committee may allocate them. The partnership model also allows members to participate in field teams or laboratory work, underwrite equipment purchases or publication costs, or arrange other assistance with project leaders.
