Description
The ASPET Editorial Fellowship Program is a one-year professional development program run by the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics. It gives senior postdoctoral fellows and junior faculty members with relevant expertise in pharmacology and drug development an in-depth opportunity to strengthen their skills as both peer reviewers and journal editors.
Fellows work interactively with an associate editor to learn all aspects of the editorial process, including manuscript submission, peer review, and editorial decisions. The program connects reviewing and editing through direct engagement with how submissions are handled. The 2025 program announcement also described quarterly discussions of the editorial process and an invitation to participate in at least one editorial board meeting.
