Description
The ASPET Washington Fellows Program is designed to engage developing and early-career scientists in science policy and advocacy. Fellows participate in policy training webinars, advocacy experiences on Capitol Hill, outreach projects, and writing workshops. The program provides an introduction to government and science policy, insight into ASPET’s policy interests (such as biomedical research funding and animal research), and hands-on advocacy experience with legislative officials in Washington, D.C. Fellows also develop policy writing skills and are encouraged to attend the ASPET Annual Meeting.
