Description
The American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology (ASPO) offers this career development award through the Centralized Otolaryngology Research Efforts (CORE) grants program. It supports otolaryngologists–head and neck surgeons committed to pediatric otolaryngology research, including patient-oriented clinical trials, health services and outcomes research, translational research, and basic science.
The award combines research support with training that directly strengthens an investigator’s ability to pursue long-range research objectives. Applicants must describe their career development and training activities, including training in the responsible conduct of research. Proposals introducing knowledge and methodology from other disciplines into pediatric otolaryngology research are encouraged. CORE coordinates scientific review, while the ASPO Research Committee recommends awards and the ASPO Board makes final funding decisions.
