Description
Astellas funds high-quality, fair-balanced, unbiased and evidence-based independent medical education. Activities may be accredited or non-accredited and must be developed by the recipient organization or its educational partners. Their primary audience should be healthcare professionals; U.S. activities may also be developed for patients. The goal is to address educational gaps, improve knowledge, skills and competence, and advance patient outcomes.
Supported topics vary by geography. They include several oncology areas, vasomotor symptoms of menopause, rare diseases and geographic atrophy. Other areas are supported in selected markets. Astellas accepts unsolicited education requests, either submitted independently or in response to a call for grant applications; it currently lists no active calls.
