Description
The Australia–India Strategic Research Fund (AISRF) Early- and Mid-Career Fellowships support Australian researchers undertaking collaborative research at leading Indian institutions. Administered by the Australian Academy of Science with support from the Department of Industry, Science and Resources, the fellowships form part of the broader AISRF, jointly managed and funded by the Australian and Indian governments.
The program funds travel and living costs for substantive research collaboration, rather than conference attendance or short-term networking alone. Applicants develop a well-defined project or targeted activity in close consultation with their Indian hosts. Fellowships aim to build enduring research partnerships, international networks and knowledge exchange while deepening understanding of India’s research systems and scientific culture. Scientific merit, value to Australian science, national research priorities and opportunities to advance women’s participation in research and technology inform selection.
