Description
The Simons Foundation’s Autism & Neuroscience division supports scientific conferences and courses that foster the exchange of ideas and knowledge. The program prioritizes events aligned with the missions of the Simons Foundation Autism Research Initiative (SFARI) and three neuroscience collaborations: Plasticity and the Aging Brain, Ecological Neuroscience, and the Global Brain.
Priority areas include the basic science of autism and related neurodevelopmental disorders, healthy cognitive aging, how interaction with the world shapes representations in the brain and mind, and systems and computational neuroscience. Applicants can also explain how their event’s location enables access for populations or geographies where neuroscience conferences and courses have been less numerous. The division intends to offer this competition annually.
