Description
The New Jersey Department of Health offers this grant through the Governor’s Council for Medical Research and Treatment of Autism. It supports postdoctoral researchers with research or clinical doctorates as they move from mentored positions toward independent, tenure-track or equivalent faculty roles. The program aims to strengthen the autism research workforce, including researchers from backgrounds underrepresented in biomedical and behavioral sciences.
Projects must address one of the selected Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee objectives identified in the request for applications. The Council welcomes new approaches to the origins, mechanisms and treatment of autism spectrum disorders. Each proposal combines a scientific project with a mentored training plan intended to build research skills and support an independent career.
