Description
The New Jersey Department of Health administers this fellowship through the Governor’s Council for Medical Research and Treatment of Autism. It supports postdoctoral researchers developing new approaches to the origins, mechanisms, and treatment of autism spectrum disorders (ASD). The program also encourages collaboration among ASD researchers and welcomes researchers entering autism research from other fields.
Fellows propose an ASD-related research project integrated with a mentored training plan. The project must address one of the selected objectives in the RFA, drawn from the Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee’s strategic plan. The fellowship aims to build research and analytical skills, help fellows move toward independent research careers, and generate results that can support future funding proposals.
