    Description

The Autism Science Foundation (ASF) offers Save Our Scientists grants to sustain early-career autism researchers facing changes in federal research support. The program supports new and existing postdoctoral fellows whose work aims to improve the lives of people with autism. Funding covers research and professional-development expenses rather than the fellow’s salary or stipend.

Eligible work spans basic and clinical research: behavior across the lifespan, neurobiology, pharmacology, neuropathology, genetics, genomics, genetic medicines, epigenetics, epigenomics, immunology, and molecular and cellular mechanisms. ASF also considers model organisms, organoids and systems, treatment, service delivery, policy, and employment research. Priority goes to studies focused on profound autism or including participants with profound autism. ASF also highlights interest in females, sex differences, and the four-to-one male-to-female diagnosis disparity.
