Description
The American Venous Forum (AVF) Career Development Award supports early-career investigators building a foundation for future research success in venous and lymphatic disease. The program links a defined research project with the time, resources, and institutional support needed to carry it out. Eligible career stages include medical residents and fellows, PhD postdoctoral researchers, and faculty within 10 years of their initial appointment.
The award supports a focused one-year project within an 18-month award cycle. Funding is directed toward project-related personnel and other direct research expenses rather than the principal investigator’s salary or unrelated research activities. Institutional commitment and protected research time are required, and recipients present their completed work at the AVF Annual Meeting.
