Description
The Society for Academic Emergency Medicine Foundation’s AWAEM Research Grant supports one early-career investigator pursuing a research question aligned with the Academy for Women in Academic Emergency Medicine’s mission. That mission encompasses the recruitment, promotion, career satisfaction, advancement, and retention of women in academic emergency medicine throughout their careers, alongside greater understanding of the role of sex and gender in emergency care.
The award supports preliminary data collection, analysis, or pilot data collection that can provide a foundation for larger research endeavors. Awardees are expected to share their findings through an abstract submitted for presentation at the SAEM Annual Meeting and a first-authored manuscript published in a peer-reviewed journal.
