AWGF Funding Requests support AWG members’ scholarships, travel grants, awards, professional development, outreach, and other projects that advance the shared goals of AWG and its Foundation.

Description
The Association for Women Geoscientists Foundation (AWGF) runs an annual project funding program supporting the shared goals of AWG and its Foundation. Any AWG member with an aligned project is welcome to apply. Supported activities include scholarships, travel grants, awards, professional development, and outreach programs, but funding is not limited to these project types. The program brings several forms of support together rather than focusing on a single research topic.
The AWGF Board reviews proposals at its annual fall meeting. Funding is awarded one fiscal year at a time, and continuing projects must reapply annually. Foundation support can reimburse approved project expenses, pay scholarship and award recipients, or pay vendors directly. Project reports document how funds were used and how the work fulfilled AWG and AWGF’s mission, and influence future funding decisions.
