Description
The AWM Presidential Recognition Award, established by the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) in 2014, honors individuals or programs that have made significant efforts to increase and support the participation of women and marginalized genders in mathematics. Presented biennially at the AWM Research Symposium banquet, this award celebrates impactful initiatives and leaders who foster equity and opportunity within the mathematical sciences community. The goal is to highlight and encourage activities and leadership that create a thriving, inclusive environment for women and others of marginalized genders in mathematics.
