Description
The AXA Foundation for Human Progress funds five-year Chairs led by senior researchers at a single host institution. Each Chair supports a coherent research program and a network of academic and non-academic partners. The Chairholder coordinates research that integrates disciplines and involves societal partners in designing, producing, and implementing its work.
The program seeks both scientific excellence and practical impact, including changes to policy or practice, tools, pilot interventions, and capacity-building. Its two categories cover major risks to health and well-being, societies, and the planet, or focus specifically on health in France. AXA aims for the collaborations built through each Chair to continue beyond the grant.
