Description
The BAR Planning Grants program, administered by the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD), is designed to assist Connecticut municipalities and eligible organizations in developing comprehensive, actionable implementation plans for the remediation and revitalization of neighborhoods, districts, corridors, downtowns, or other areas burdened by multiple brownfields. The program moves beyond a site-by-site approach, encouraging area-wide strategies that foster public and private investment and community revitalization. Expected outcomes include community engagement, strategic prioritization of brownfield sites, and the creation of effective implementation strategies for cleanup and redevelopment.
