Description
The BAR Planning Grants program assists eligible Connecticut entities in developing comprehensive implementation plans for the remediation and redevelopment of areas burdened with multiple brownfields—such as neighborhoods, districts, downtowns, waterfronts, and corridors. The program is designed to move beyond a site-by-site approach, encouraging holistic, area-wide planning that prioritizes community engagement, market and feasibility analysis, and actionable strategies for redevelopment. The resulting plans should detail strategies for site assessment, cleanup, and reuse, as well as broader revitalization measures for the targeted area.
