Description
The Barbara Spohr Memorial Award for Photography is an annual, competitive residency program designed to support the growth of Canadian contemporary photography. It offers one mid-career Canadian photographer the opportunity for a fully funded, month-long, self-directed residency at Banff Centre’s Crich Studio. The award covers tuition, on-campus accommodation, meal plan, a $1,000 CAD materials allowance, and a travel bursary. The residency encourages independent research, creative exploration, and project development, with access to both analogue and digital photographic facilities, technical support, and opportunities for public engagement through artist talks.
