Summary: Supports first-time high school physics teachers attending AAPT national conferences to foster professional growth and honor Barbara Wolff Reichert’s legacy.
The Barbara Wolff-Reichert Travel Grants are designed to enable first-time high school physics teachers to attend an American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) national conference. Established in 2023, this endowment honors Barbara Wolff Reichert and aims to encourage new educators to participate in the national physics education community. The grant covers travel, lodging, food, and registration costs for a single national AAPT meeting (either winter or summer), and recipients are paired with a mentor to maximize their conference experience. Following the meeting, awardees are expected to submit a brief report to help enhance future opportunities for teachers.
