Description
The Baseline Water Quality Data Program (BWQDP), administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) and funded by the Marcellus Legacy Fund, supports projects that collect and analyze water samples to document existing groundwater quality conditions on private water supplies throughout Pennsylvania. The goal is to establish baseline water quality data, which is critical for resource management and protection, especially in areas where natural gas drilling occurs.
