This grant funds competitive, community-driven projects that restore, protect, or educate about the Tampa Bay watershed. The program aims to foster environmental stewardship and science literacy among local residents, workers, and visitors. Projects must address at least one action from the Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan for Tampa Bay (CCMP) and provide clear deliverables, metrics, or outputs related to restoration, enhancement, protection, or education. Innovative approaches and projects that engage underserved or overburdened communities are strongly encouraged. Past funded activities include public murals, rain gardens, wildlife monitoring, oyster habitat restoration, and seagrass assessments.
