This grant funds community-driven projects that restore, protect, or educate about the Tampa Bay watershed, with an emphasis on fostering stewardship and science literacy among local residents, organizations, and visitors. Eligible projects must address at least one action from the Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan for Tampa Bay (CCMP) and demonstrate clear deliverables and measurable outcomes. The program encourages innovative approaches, including engaging informal influencers, creative storytelling, biodiversity preservation, and invasive species management. Past funded projects include public art installations, rain gardens, wildlife monitoring, and habitat restoration, all aimed at improving the health and resilience of the Tampa Bay ecosystem.
