Description
The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), part of UK Research and Innovation, runs this award with the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). It helps BBSRC-supported research groups in the UK build collaborations with FAPESP-funded scientists in São Paulo. Activities can include travel, workshops and exchanges that bring researchers together to use one another’s expertise, skills and resources.
The award is intended to add value to existing research in both countries and create opportunities for future joint proposals. It encourages skills development and early career scientist exchanges. A modest amount of preliminary research is permitted, but the award must primarily focus on collaboration rather than research activity.
