Description
The BBSRC-STFC DeepTech Catalyst Bio programme is a business incubator designed to help early-stage UK biotechnology start-ups accelerate the commercialisation of bioscience innovations. Delivered by UKRI’s Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) in partnership with the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), the programme offers a comprehensive support package including grant funding, innovation vouchers, technical and IP support, business coaching, and access to specialist facilities at UKRI campuses. The initiative aims to de-risk bioscience technologies, help companies develop business plans, and facilitate introductions to investors and sector stakeholders. The programme is not intended for medical or clinical devices or therapeutics developed solely for a single clinical application.
