The BCGE Calls, coordinated by the Berlin Center for Global Engagement (BCGE) of the Berlin University Alliance, fund collaborative research and mobility projects between researchers at the Berlin University Alliance (BUA) and partners in the Global South. The initiative aims to recognize and overcome hierarchies in global scientific production by supporting joint research, academic exchange, and short-term mobility. The BCGE defines the Global South broadly as countries holding a marginalized position in global scientific production, not strictly by geography.
