    Description

The Beckman Scholars Program provides institutional awards to accredited four-year U.S. colleges and universities to support mentored undergraduate research in chemistry, biochemistry, biological, and medical sciences, as well as interdisciplinary combinations of these fields. Each award funds six undergraduate scholars over three years, supporting 15 months of continuous research per scholar (summer–academic year–summer) under the guidance of approved faculty mentors. The program emphasizes removing barriers to participation by eliminating minimum GPA and previous research experience as selection criteria, and encourages applications from students with diverse backgrounds and pathways into STEM.
