Description
The Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation’s Speaker and Conference Support Fund helps Beckman awardees and community members host seminars, talks, and conferences at their institutions. It supports invited speakers’ travel and related expenses, along with event-hosting costs, to reduce financial barriers to sharing research accomplishments and discussing advances in scientific research or issues affecting science.
The program seeks to expand professional networks, foster collaborations, expose participants to innovative science, develop leadership and communication skills, and strengthen connections within the Beckman community. Selection emphasizes campus, scientific, and community impact, consistent with the Foundation’s mission to support young scientists and advance chemistry and the life sciences. Events targeting undergraduate students, open to all, and free to attend receive priority.
