--- ## Description This program provides financial support to Beckman awardees and alumni at U.S. nonprofit institutions to host scientific seminars or conferences featuring speakers from the Beckman community. The aim is to foster scientific advancement, professional networking, and new collaborations, while increasing the visibility of innovative research and supporting the Foundation’s mission. The Foundation selects a limited number of proposals each year, prioritizing those with significant scientific and community impact, especially those engaging undergraduate audiences. --- ## Due Dates - Requests are accepted throughout the year. - Applications must be submitted at least three months prior to the planned event date. - Notification of award is typically provided within 3–5 weeks of submission. --- ## Funding Amount - Up to $3,000 may be requested per event. - The Foundation funds up to 5 requests per program year, not to exceed a total of $15,000 annually. - Funding can cover speaker travel and event-related costs (e.g., room rental, food, printed materials). --- ## Eligibility - Meeting organizer must be a current or past Beckman Foundation awardee or Executive Committee Member. - Eligible programs include: Beckman Scholars Program, Arnold O.
