Beginner English Language Learning Plus (BELL+) is a free, semester-long program aimed at improving the English language abilities and employability of unemployed and underemployed adults in Serbia. The initiative offers two beginner-level courses (A1 and A2), each with 24 classes focused on basic grammar, vocabulary, mock job interviews, and CV writing in English. Courses are taught by U.S. government-sponsored exchange alumni using interactive, American-style teaching methods, and include exposure to American culture and values. Since its inception in 2017, BELL+ has served over 1,500 participants across Serbia, with both in-person and online delivery formats.
