Description
The Ben J. Lipps Research Fellowship Program is supported by the American Society of Nephrology through KidneyCure, the ASN Foundation for Kidney Research. It funds postdoctoral fellows to conduct original, meritorious nephrology research under a sponsor’s direction. Proposals may address any aspect of kidney biology and disease, encompassing both clinical and basic science.
The fellowship combines research support with mentored training to establish the beginnings of an independent research career. Fellows’ proposed research objectives must clearly differ from those of their sponsor, mentor, or principal investigator. KidneyCure welcomes eligible applicants whose backgrounds and life experiences bring valuable perspectives to nephrology, particularly those who have encountered barriers to entering the field.
