The Bert and Sally de Vries Fellowship, administered by the American Center of Research (ACOR), provides financial support to undergraduate and graduate students of any nationality (except Jordanian citizens) to participate in archaeological research or projects in Jordan. Established in 2004, the fellowship honors the legacy of Bert and Sally de Vries, who contributed decades to archaeology and cultural studies in the region. The fellowship assists with partial payment of essential research or fieldwork expenses and is intended for students whose costs are not already largely covered by their project. The award can be combined with other ACOR fellowships.
