Description
The Bert and Sally de Vries Fellowship, administered by the American Center of Research (ACOR), supports undergraduate and graduate students participating in archaeological projects or conducting research in Jordan. It helps pay essential expenses associated with this work. Supported activities include participation in ongoing field or study projects and independent research accepted by ACOR or another academic institution as scholarly and ethical.
Bert and Sally de Vries established the fellowship in 2004 to support students participating in archaeological excavations in Jordan. The program reflects their more than forty years of work in the country as researchers and administrators, including archaeological projects and research into traditional village cultures.
