Description
BETA: Project Planning is a Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) pilot that provides in-depth building audits, energy modeling, and customized electrification and decarbonization plans for existing commercial buildings and multifamily properties with at least 15 units. The program explores technical, implementation, and financial models that can help Massachusetts buildings eliminate fossil fuel use, meet interim climate targets, and become “2050-Ready.”
Plans support both comprehensive retrofits and phased improvements aligned with natural equipment replacement cycles. They connect emissions reduction strategies with capital planning, financing options, resilience considerations, and recommended implementation timelines. Slipstream Group, Inc. serves as lead technical consultant. Findings and participant feedback will inform a flexible assessment framework and market resources for broader commercial building decarbonization.
